The concept to build as light and open a space as possible resulted in a design that is almost ascetic. The main living space is essentially a double height volume with a transparent compartmentalization of various functions (study corner, music corner, sitting area); thus allowing a free flow of air within.

The new office and guest house buildings are within an existing community. The buildings are low key and merge with the surrounding. Finishes are simple with use of locally available stones & wood.

This house, designed for a family has rooms arranged laterally on two sides of the staircase; giving the house long facades on the east and west. This being the wind directions, cross ventilation is maximized, additionally; the deep overhanging slabs ensure that the walls get minimum direct sunlight.
